Many English words have more than one meaning. Read the following sentences from the dialogue in LISTEN AND READ and their meanings. Then study the lỉsted words from the same dialogue which also have more than one meaning. Write one sentence with each of their meanings.

Nhiều từ tiếng Anh có nhiều hơn một nghĩa. Đọc các câu sau đây từ cuộc đối thoại trong LISTEN AND READ và ý nghĩa của chúng. Sau đó nghiên cứu các từ được liệt kê từ cùng một cuộc đối thoại cũng có nhiều hơn một ý nghĩa. Viết một câu với mỗi ý nghĩa.

TRY1 = to make an effort to do something

Two team members try lo make afire by rubbing pieces of bamboo together.

RUN1 = to move fast on foot

RUN2 = to be in operation

BANK1 = a slope of land adjoining a body of water, especially a river or a lake

FIRE1 = burning fuel or other materials

FIRE2 = to shoot a weapon

POINT1 = a unit that adds to a game or sports competition

POINT2 = to show with a íinger
